BIP 110
A proposed one-year rule change to squeeze file storage out of Bitcoin blocks.
In plain words
The fight over storing files and images inside Bitcoin moved from node settings to the rulebook itself. BIP 110, proposed in December 2025, would tighten the rules for one year: stuffed-in data capped at 256 bytes per piece, and the loopholes behind "inscriptions" closed. Coins people already own are untouched, and the rules expire on their own. It's a proposal, not a live rule — it only takes effect if the network adopts it.
